Cal Ripken Jr. and Seth Godin

Cal Ripken Jr. played in 2,632 consecutive Major League Baseball games. That’s more than 16 seasons in a row without a game off. He didn’t play this many games in a row because he never got hurt, or because he was in perfect shape, or because he was always the best player on the field. He did it despite those things not always being true.

Seth Godin has published more than 10,000 blogs on his website, on consecutive days. That’s more than 27 years of blogging in a row, without missing a day. He didn’t publish this many blogs because he always had great ideas, or because he had tons of readers, or because every blog was super popular. He did it despite those things not always being true.

Consider these things, and look inward. What keeps you from creating today? What if you created despite a lack of perfect conditions?
