I’m getting more connected to you
When I started making content, I did it as a self-documentarian. Fresh off a terrible year of freelancing in which I made about $18,000 total (while paying $12,000 of that in rent), I started blogging. I wanted to wrestle with ideas, and share what I was learning in a public space. If someone else found it, related to it, and was helped by it, that would be enough for me.
As time has gone, I’ve gotten better at freelancing. I’m happy to report I’m no longer scraping by. I’ve found a work-life balance that’s sustainable for me, and I’m enjoying it all. Over the years, things have become easier—sometimes to the point where I look back and wonder what on earth I was thinking when I got started.
This is good and bad. On one hand, pathways to success are so much clearer to me now, and I’m happy to share those. On the other hand, I’m a little disconnected from how I felt when I was starting out. I want to get that feeling back. Not for me. For you. I want to stay in touch with the confusions and considerations of the new freelancer, so I can better serve people who are starting their freelance journeys.
One new way I’m excited to do that is through 40-minute consulting calls. You can book one here. I’m running a sale on these calls right now, to get the ball rolling. Each call is recorded, and you’ll receive a link with that recording after the call. I’m looking forward to hearing more about what’s blocking you, and helping you overcome those blocks so you can make more money as a freelancer.
