The only way to be rich

Is the only way to be rich to live within your means?

I live in America. In America, there are rich people and there are poor people. But even most of the poor people in America are wealthier than a large portion of the globe, and certainly have a higher earning potential. People from around the world give up everything to move to America for even just an opportunity.

On the flip side, wealthy people spend beyond their means, and have to keep earning more to maintain their lifestyle. They work harder and harder, never satisfied with what they achieve.

If rich people can feel poor, and poor people can feel rich, this tells me that feeling rich is relative. It’s malleable. It all depends.

A rich person doesn’t have to work all the time to pay the bills. A rich person has margin in their schedule and their bank account. A rich person doesn’t have to do jobs they don’t want to do. Some of the wealthiest people in the world can’t even say this.

All of this is achievable if you live within your means.
