Design inspiration

I’m trying to step up my graphic design game for my socials and website. Generally, I have an eye for what looks good, but I don’t have a vision to create something out of thin air. Real designers, I assume, must have endless ideas and images and layouts floating around in their heads all the time that they just pull down from the ether. I don’t have that.

I am, however, decent at seeing a design, imitating the style, and vetting if the layout follows design sense. To do this recently, I’ve been going to Pinterest. Simple searches like “banner graphic with face” or “online course graphic” have pulled up enough images for me to get started.

Take a look at the inspiration I found then incorporated for the design of my free course BOOKED. If it’s any consolation for the other non-designer reading this, my design was created using an iPhone app called PixelCut, and Apple’s Keynote program. It’s not rocket science. You can have better design with a little inspiration, too.
