Nothing counts unless you send the emails

“Nothing counts unless you send the emails.” This is something I told myself today as I’ve been working on a new cold outreach funnel.

I started identifying leads to reach out to, then I realized I needed to have a great outreach email. While I was researching and writing that, I realized I’d need an updated landing page with my work. After a few days of work, I finished both of those up. But there was still a subtle resistance I felt about kicking off my outreach today.

Then I told myself “none of this work counts unless you send the emails.”

Yes, I’ve been very productive. Yes, I’ve been working hard. Yes, I’ve been learning a lot through my research. But all of that work is wasted if I don’t send the emails.

You’re probably working hard preparing for 2026. Building for something big. But is there a hinge-point in this work? What is it building towards? If you don’t do some crucial action, is all of that work wasted?
