Writing commercials until I get one in the Super Bowl

Here’s a content idea.

“Day one of writing commercials until I get one in the Super Bowl.”

People love an ambitious challenge on social media, and it could be a great way to connect with real-life clients (production companies, agencies, or directors) to write ads for them.

Also, I just love writing and I love making ads. Why not?

With all the tools available, like ShotDeck, Artlist, Frame Set, and AI, I could easily turn these into visual storyboards, or even mockup ads to show at the end of the videos.

I could start with the hook, then dive into the client (real or imaginary) that I’m writing a commercial for. I’d explain the clever idea that I’m presenting, then show some of the reference visuals. Time-lapses and VO and screen recordings could fill in the middle section, and build intrigue while I tease the final ad.

Then, at the end, I would show the full final ad mockup.

This wouldn’t be an every day thing, but maybe once every two weeks? Mixed in with my other product content, I think it could be really fun. Just sharing it here to get this concept down on paper. Follow me on Instagram to see when it goes live.
